“A sale is only a good sale if you have the money.” Something my mother always taught me. Just because you find something on sale, if you don’t have the money it wasn’t a sale for you. This philosophy has helped me learn to live within my means and plan for that spontaneous sale through the savings that I get in other areas. So if that means that I pass something up I’m okay with that. Being able to save now for that something later is a special treat. Whether your desire to save is because of a new life event that has forced you to adopt a new budget or are a save for the future type we all like to save money. I’m not usually the lady who gets hundreds of dollars of groceries for pennies but I do find a way to get good deals on swimming lessons to shoes. When you don’t have the money and can make the time, use your resources around you to look, find, barter, and trade and get the sweet savvy savings you need to reach your goals and provide opportunities to your children.
